Turkey, Iran joint-film to screen at Fajr Film Festival

Joint production of Iran and Turkey ‘Beautiful Jinn’ has been scheduled to participate in the upcoming Fajr Film Festival in Iran next year.

Directed by Iranian filmmaker Bayram Fazli, the coproduction feature film will screen in the 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival, which is scheduled to take place in the Iranian capital city of Tehran in February 2018.

The film is currently in its final phase of editing and will be ready to screen at the Tehran event.

‘Beautiful Jinn’ is a social drama with comic traits. Turkish actress Nurgul Yesilcay plays the role of a character named ‘Delaram’, who is deaf and dumb due to some past trauma.

Nurgul Yesilcay, who plays the leading role, will star alongside celebrated Iranian actor Farhad Aslani.

Produced by Iranian producer, film director and screenwriter Mehrdad Farid, the film was shot in its entirety in the central Iranian city of Isfahan.

Following the internationally acclaimed Fajr Film Festival’s screening of the feature, the film will be played on screens in Iran, Turkey and Arab countries.
